Water damage can get serious.  This ceiling had to be opened, wet insulation removed from attic and replaced not only the insulation, but also a large portion of the ceiling.  Did I mention we handle all aspects of water damage and repair?  P.S. the can light in this picture was not rated to be covered with insulation blown into the attic.  Catching this during repairs could have saved this homeowner from a fire in his attic…

You can have a new roof and still have issues…  Here the snow has piled up high in a valley on the roof. During the melting, water began to back up under the singles eventually making its way into the attic and causing problems on the interior ceiling.

Poorly installed or maintained roofs can leak, allowing moisture laden insulation to mildew.  If roof issues are not corrected quickly and properly, mildew will soon become an issue.  Now this will have to be opened up to have insulation replaced and new drywall installed.
